Welcome to the Scented Notebook, I’ll be posting updates about Bedeaux perfumes and sharing snippets from behind the scenes.
Writing is quite challenging for me, I’m much more comfortable expressing thoughts and emotions with images, music and of course perfume. When talking I stuggle to take the thoughts running around in my head put them together in a coherent and articulate way.
If you follow me on Instagram I’m sure you can guess that I write the captions myself, they are riddled with typos and grammatical errors. I hope what my writing lacks in finesse and eloquence is more than made up by authenticity, it’s my thoughts in my words, no spin.
Pages in my Scented Notebook will explore the process of perfume making. I’ll include notes about raw materials and the creative process, how to turn an idea into a perfume and all the stages of production. I shall share sources of inspiration and new scented discoveries too.
I’ll also post a short version on instagram as I really enjoy the interaction with other perfume people. I love taking photos and enjoying making reels to combine them with videos, music and occasional voice overs. I also thoroughly enjoy being part of the friendly and supportive community of perfume enthusiasts, story tellers, perfumers and more.
